After our no pooping post from yesterday, we have moved onto a sleepy day.
BTW, he did finally poop, 2 times, late last night. 🙂
Now today, he seems tired. I am ok with this, because I equate sleep to healing.
We noticed he has a small wound on his front elbow, so we have decided to wrap it with cotton bandages, and gauze, to pad it. But tonight, I will stop at the craft store and buy some foam, and make him a “cradle” for that elbow.
Any other suggestions, are welcome, and appreciated.
Other than that, its time to go pee. (Truth be told, HE has to go pee, I am all set )
Happy golden days to you all.

WOOHOO for POO!!!
I wish I had some suggestions for the elbow thing – though, I’ve read several comments in the forums here about it. It might be worth a search. We haven’t had that problem with Sam yet, but as hard as he comes down on that elbow occasionally, we will probably need to come up with an elbow pad for him too…
Sleep is good for both of you today. It makes it easier to snuggle.
Golden thoughts headed your way! Keep it up, Fenway – we are rootin’ for ya!

Yippppeee! Were you jumpin’ up and down in the backyard doing the potty dance? Hope your neighbors didn’t think you were nuts for cheering him on while he pooed!
Very observant of you to catch that pressure sore now before it gets worse. Here is something a member did to help her Tripawd with that issue, you can download the plans here:

Let us know if it works for Fenway, we would love to update this post about it OK?
Thanks Samdog!
I sure hope you dont get any sores.
And Jerry, we downloaded the “recipe” for the elbow pad. Very clever!!!!
We will attempt to make that later on today, for now we cut a square piece of memory foam (from an old dog bed) and have secured it to his elbow using sticky guaze wrap. It seems to be working, but long term, it wont be . everytime it rains or snows it will get wet, stinky etc.
Either way, we will figure it out.
BTW Fenway is doing great! 2 poops last night, 2 poops this morning. Feeling fine!! He seems to be very comfortable, and happy.
(and yes, I did jump up and down, and cried from relief, when he finally pooped. Luckily, we live in an area with few neighbors!!! Or else, I’d be typing this update from the psych ward 🙂 )
Golden happy thoughts being sent your way.
