Finally, on the couch!!!

Look at me, up on the couch, all on my own!!!
I did it !!!

Fenway here, I had to show off, so when mommy turned her back, up I went!!  weeeee!! look at me now.

So its official, he is doing everything he did prior to the surgery, other than running off into the woods, on his own.  And that will never happen again!!!

He is a champ!!!!

Also, I figured i would include the picture of the article, that helped us make the decision for the amputation, it was in DogFancy, october 2012, page 10.

the great article.

  1. Oh I love that!!!!!! that is so great. A dog on a mission.
Thank you for sharing. Smiling from ear to ear after reading that.

  2. Hey those harnesses come in handy for helping dawgs get up on furniture, don’t they? Lookin’ good my friend.

And THANK YOU for posting that photo of the article! Wow, we had no idea! We are going to go pick up a copy this week, I hope it’s still on the news stands. Thank you so much, you made our day!

  3. jerry, If its not, I will send you my copy. More than likely November’s issue is already out. I believe you can send for a copy off the website.
But I can definitely send you mine. Its the least I can do.

yes, the harness is great. I am still not comfortable letting him hang out without the harness (except for when he sleeps) at least I can grab if he needs me to help him.

Really wish I had it on that one vet visit……..(I am still traumatized)

But Fenway is doing well. Strong, and seems pretty happy.

    Have a great day.

  4. I noticed the harness, and wanted to say I wish I had that when I brought Willy home from the vet (it would have been useful). goldenmama you said traumatized, absolutely. I laid on the floor next to him for 3 days because I was afraid. (that i may have done the worst thing in the world and he looked awful)…

today a month after surgery he is running in the hay field and wanting to play. i love it… i know its not a cure, but to have him a little while longer with me… its worth it!!! Good luck and BTW awesome article!!!

    1. Oh Will Dog, that is wonderful. Runnning in the field?? wooooohoooooo!!
Congrats and keep up the good work.

  5. awww goldenmama, thank you for your kind offer! Heck, even just a scan will do. If you feel like scanning it or are able to, that would be terrific. I’ll keep you posted on if we can find the latest issue. THANK YOU!
