December 7, 2012…..And all is GREAT

Christmas photos for Grandma and Grandpa

Hello everyone.  We have been away for a while, sorry for this.   We have some good news about our Fenway.  He seems to be healing from his recent ACL problems.   He seems stronger, faster, and happier than he has in months.
I am sure some of this is in part due to the cooler weather.  Fenway ( like Mom) loves the cool weather over the warm.  He gets super frisky and can’t contain his excitement, and happiness.   Chasing away the deer, and the birds is an all time favorite sport for Fenway, and this time of year keeps him VERY busy.

Fenway had his fourth chemo treatment last week, on November 29.  This time, no issues at all.   He did amamzingly well, didn’t cry at all, and didn’t even care about going into the veterinary ckinic.   In fact, he ran in, and went to greet all the dogs in the waiting area.  (I am sure the pawrents were mildly amused by Fen pulling me all over the office on 3 legs!!!)
Afterward, he came home, and acted 100% normal.  No excessive drinking.  No pacing. No stomach issues.  No fatigue.  In fact, he seems stronger and crazier than before.

The day after the treatment, we had our photos taken for Grandma and Grandpa.    Here is the picture of them together.  (and No, we didn’t pose them.  They just laid there together).
This was the first time my friend Jodi had seen Fenway since his amputation…..She was very imressed.  He showed of all of his moves, including the “bad dog” roll.   He simply refused to sit any longer, so he rolled over, and kicked his legs up.  Very silly dog indeed.

We have one more chemotherapy treatment scheduled for December 20, 2012.   Hoping and praying he tolerates it well.

It’s time to finish Christmas decorating.
Happy Friday everyone,

Xoxoxo
