We have been away for a while. The last time I posted, we were concerend that Fenway was having a bad reaction to his chemotherapy treatment. And we also discovered our big strong boy had started limping on his back left leg……Well, he did indeed damage his formerly repaired ACL. 🙁
We have been busy monitoring him, and keeping him happy, and as healthy as we can. Basically, we have been trying to be more “dog”
Fenway is still a silly, typical golden, tail wagging, eyes bright, and nose is always sniffing. But there is no doubt his leg is bothering him.

He enjoys all of the attention, and all of the love. But, his sister gets a little jealous sometimes. She sits on top of him, if I am laying next to him. You would think this would offend Fenway, but in fact he enjoys it so much. The dynamics in the house have changed so much, but some things remain the same….Fenway loves his sister!!!

He has adapted to lots of playing while laying down, and Macy has too.
I have said before, that every day is a gift with him. Not to be taken for granted, and I try to spend as much quality time with him. I worry less about the cleanliness of the house, and the emails backing up, and try to enjoy the outdoors with them as much as possible.
This week, I am thankful, that my boy is so strong. I am thankful that he still wants to enjoy life. I am thankful that he still likes to chase the birds, and the deer. I am especially thankful, that last night, he ran to my car, as I drove up the drive…..Dragging his daddy behind him. For each morning that he greets me with a smile, I am thankful. Every day I have with him….I AM THANKFUL!!!
May we all enjoy thanksgiving this week. I know I am blessed. Have a wonderful holiday everyone.
Thanks for the update on Fenway, he looks great!
Funny thing, our monkeybutt sits on top of our tripawd too.
She wants (or rather!) needs to be close to “Daddy” and gets jealous of our tripawd as well.
Love the Fall photos. It’s wonderful that you are enjoying every moment with him… as we should all do with our dogs – tripawd or not.
What are you doing about his limp right now? Will it resolve itself enough for him to manage enough without another surgery? Also, have his chemo treatments been easier on him lately?
Love and Labby kisses from Hunter and family.
Thanks for sharing your thankful thoughts about your Fenway. He is gorgeous and obviously happy!
Enjoy today with him!

Well I am thankful that you posted!! I worry when I do not see a post and you have spoiled everyone with being so punctual with your posts. Fenway looks great and I hope that old ACL injury eases up. Have a great thanksgiving!
I couldn’t say it better myself, what a great update.
Hugs to you and Fenway. Every day is a gift, indeed. I hope his ACL gets better, poor pup!
What a pawsome outlook! We all need to BE MORE DOG! So glad to hear Fenway is a happy golden boy!
Sorry to hear that Fenway hurt his ACL…sure hope it’s better now and that he’s doing well. We love Fenway and Macy and enjoy seeing their pics. Sam’sMOM and Sam
